It's almost 10 pm here. When you're almost 38 weeks pregnant, that is like 3 am to any normal person...so this won't be a long update.
Things are getting better since my last post. We spoke with the midwife and she is fine waiting for her money until I get paid. (Which I still haven't been at all yet, so no Christmas shopping has been done at all....that's another post though, and it will be okay.) So, the home birth is a go as long as I don't risk out health-wise.
A very dear friend read my post lamenting no money to buy diapers and is coming to my rescue. She's organized a diaper brigade of mommies who are willing to help a mama in need and I'm going to be getting enough diapers and things to get this little guy started in cloth diapers for at least a few weeks. Hopefully by then I will be able to "buy up" to the next size and will DEFINITELY pay it forward with those tiny diapers as soon as he outgrows them. :) THANK YOU so much to my sweet Ris. Isn't it amazing how we can love someone so that we met online? Thank you for your over seven years of friendship!!! (Seven years???? Already????)
After my last post, I had a very long talk with DH. I discovered, to my chagrin, that he is much more severely depressed than I realized. He needs me, and my support, and I intend to give it to him as much as I can. It really opened my eyes and took my focus off of myself and put it on him, where it needs to be right now. I'm sure I'll still get angry and frustrated at times, but for now I am trying to help him figure out how to get out of this quagmire he's in. Our anniversary is in 3 weeks, and I have not devoted 16 years to him to give up now.
He's worked so hard and has a bunch of Ab's new room painted. My stepmom is coming this weekend to help and if they can bust hiney, they may just get it done this weekend and we can get Ab all moved and settled in to her new bedroom/therapy room. In the meantime, DH has been working very hard on getting the tiling in the bathroom done so the girls can have their own bathroom again and so I can take some nice warm relaxing baths again. It'll take a crane to get me out, but it will be worth it, lol.
I saw my midwife today for my 38 week appointment. I am measuring 42cm-4 weeks ahead. Yikes. His heartrate was in the 140's and responded well when she pushed him around a bit to elevate his heartrate. I've gained 28 pounds (3 past my goal already, with 2 weeks to go :() and my blood pressure was 133/67. For me, that is wonderful. I am taking SO many things to help lower it, but it seems to be working. I'm eating an entire HUGE cucumber every day....it's a good thing I love cucumbers! I'm having a lot of strong BH contrax but see no signs of anything happening yet-which is awesome. I NEED this next two weeks to get more things ready. I have so much dirty laundry it would take me 4 washing machines and a full week to get it all done. Every time I carry laundry up and down the steps to the machines, then on upstairs to put it away, I contract like the baby is coming in a hour, so it makes it hard to do much laundry without John here to help!
Okay, I am so tired my head is dropping on the keyboard. I'll update more later.

Hang in there darlin'. Glad to hear things are looking up for you. I am on the edge of my seat waiting for you to give birth.
Lisa, I hope your husband got lots done on Abby's room this past weekend, with the help of your In-Laws. And I hope you get to try out your own warm bath soon. Glad that your blood pressure is in a good range for you, too. Hugs and prayers for these last weeks. Thinking of you.
Janet
