He likes it! Hey Mikey!

So, at less than a week away from six months old, Ian finally got some food. He's met all the milestones-more than doubled his birth weight, he can sit up, he has almost no tongue thrust/pushing the food back out, etc....He loved it! I gave him the first bite of sweet potatoes and he looked at me with an amazed look on his face that clearly said "You've been holding out on me!" He then proceeded to grab the spoon each time I brought it near his mouth with another mouthful and shoved it in his mouth himself. Almost none of it came back out, and he only has food on his cheek because his aim was a bit off with the spoon. I've never had such a "clean" first eating experience, then again I never waited this long to give solids before. I am so proud that we made it six whole months with NOTHING in him but breastmilk. :-D
Unfortunately as of today he's a bit sick, with a runny nose and a slight fever. He's teething like mad but still hasn't had any break through. The girls had teeth by 4 1/2 and 5 1/2 months, so he's a bit behind for what's normal for my kids. Isn't he a dollie??? :-DDDD

OH MY GOODNESS! How cute is he??? LOL How funny his look of "You've been holding out on me." LOL Sounds just like my son, grabbing the spoon for dear life, as if you might not give him this ever again. LOL
