I want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has served or is serving our country in the Armed Forces. I love this country so much, and I know I owe a huge debt to those who are willing to sacrifice so much, even their lives, to keep our country the amazing place that it is today.
I am so grateful to the men and women who put their lives on the line for me and my family. Thank you. I respect you so much. To the families that stay behind and keep life moving here in the U.S. while your partner is away defending our freedoms, a huge thank you. I cannot imagine what you go through. You are as much deserving of our thanks and respect as those who actually go and defend us. Your sacrifices are not forgotten and are appreciated beyond measure.
My father in law was a proud Navy veteran. He never bragged about what he did, but quietly told stories of his activities while a part of the service. I miss him so much. Dad, wherever you are, you are missed so very much and loved beyond measure.
Annalise went off to school today wearing red and white and her little flag pin that her 2nd grade teacher made for her. It's a safety pin with more safety pins attached with beads threaded on to make a facsimile of a flag. I love my little girl for her patriotism and her teacher for fostering that love of country in her.
