I love September. It's fall...leaves are changing, it's cooler out. School starts, cute clothes are worn, everyone has new shoes. Cinnamon and pumpkin scents are starting to be noticeable. And it's my birthday. Okay, I admit that now that I am "getting up there" the birthday part isn't so exciting anymore, but that's alright.
John bought me what I asked for as a gift-a lighted magnifying mirror so I can better see to pluck my chin hairs. :-/ He thought yesterday was the 17th and gave it to me then. But he wouldn't admit he got the wrong day-he just said he thought by giving it to me on Sunday we could all celebrate together. LOL. Finally later in the day he admitted he thought it was the 17th. My mom is coming to Columbus today to see her doctor about her broken arm and then is coming here to take me to lunch. I haven't seen her on my birthday in years and years. I don't remember the last time, actually. My stepdad will be with her. He's a nice guy but due to health issues tends to be very, very grouchy most of the time. I hope he'll be pleasant today. No matter what it will be good to see mom.
I feel like Fred is really getting big. He's starting to use my bladder as a trampoline. I pee every hour all night long. I am getting excited about seeing him. I just know he's going to be so cute. I bet he has a head of thick, dark hair, just like the girls. I need about everything for him clothes-wise---I guess I better get busy shopping. He does have some Christmas sleepers, but that's about it. I also need to get shopping for small sized cloth diapers. Ack, where will all this money come from? I still haven't called the midwife yet. I am scared to, because I know money is so tight. I need to call though.....I only get one chance to have a good birth, and that's worth some financial struggle. If we used credit cards I would just charge it, but we don't. And I am glad we don't, but sometimes I do wish I had the ability to put my hands on a couple of thousand dollars instantly.
Well, I am off to shower and get ready for Mom to get here. I hope everyone enjoys today. Happy Birthday to me! The big 4-2. Woot.
